This is an ultra-concentrated formula for acne prone & hyperpigmented skin types for the DAYTIME because it absorbs into the skin very quickly for a tallow cream. The skin seems to just eat it up & I personally love it because it has that true blurring effect for a day cream with no greasy residue.

Let’s get into these benefits & what they do because this infusion jar is packed with a punch for bacteria that is causing redness, inflammation & dullness on the surface:

TALLOW: sourcing matters… we feed our family from Benedikt Dairy. The cows are 100% grass fed & finished. These cows live longer than the average cow, about 3 years compared to the regular 18 months which renders a creamier sweeter and more nutrient dense tallow.

JOJOBA: all our jojoba is the highest quality & is sourced from our neighboring state next door… Maine. Always unrefined. A highly concentrated source of vit E & monosaturated fats. Our sourcing is farmer owned & grown cooperatively…the best thing is jojoba doesn’t clog pores & is easily absorbed much like the tallow.

RAW HONEY: raw wild honey from a farmer who lives within state forests & organic lands. Helps the skin retain moisture. Increases circulation because it’s a natural exfoliant which means it’s gentle & will bring out your natural radiance hiding just beneath the surface. Speeds the healing process & reduces bacteria. Wherever honey touches bacteria won’t grow!

PROPOLIS: speeds up healing & treats the aftermath of acne because of the pinocembrin present. Anti-inflammatory & anti-microbial this is a hard hit to acne & other skin irritations. (pair this with our OVUM BALM & you won’t recognize your skin in a month!) its been shown to decongest, calm puffy irritated skin, unclog pores & balance uneven skin tone.

CALENDULA: anti-inflammatory properties & healing properties due to the triterpenoids present in flowers. Rich in natural antioxidants compounds like polyphenols, carotenoids & flavonoids which helps calm redness, inflammation & itchiness. May also moisturize & hydrate the skin.

CHAMOMILE: revitalizes, calms & balances the skin.

REISHI: Reishi is high in beta-glucans, that can alleviate itching & reduce redness. The skin can appear smoother & more evenly toned. Also detoxifies.

TREMELLA: I have fallen in love with tremella in my quest to age naturally without fillers because of its ultra hydrating properties & it has been found to be 15% more effective than hyaluronic acid. I always use this now because it seems to explode in the tallow medium & create a wonderful synergistic blend. Tremella creates a kind of blurring effect on the skin which is why I consider it my #1 ally in naturally aging.

ASTAXANTHIN: The king of the carotenoids is a marine-based antioxidant with potent levels of beta-carotene & it’s fat-soluble! It’s been shown to promote healthy skin, smooth wrinkles, make age spots smaller & maintain moisture in skin.

BLUE BUTTERFLY: rich in polyphenols, flavonoids which help with free radicals that degrade the skin, proanthocyanidin which has been shown to release collagen & elasticity.

HOW TO USE: this is considered the Bigwoods ‘day cream’ but it can also be used at night. This is highly concentrated so start with a dime sized amount. Smear onto the forehead & cheekbones first, pretty much your T zone & work outward to hairline. Minding the hairline if using during the day.
