Our small batch ‘New Day Hydrosol Toner’ is just that; a new day to… revive your spirit, correct your skin’s pH & prepare the pores to receive moisture from all other Bigwoods face products.

Damp skin, especially as we age with authenticity is the best way to apply skincare. Misting then gently dabbing on the damp skin has been such a game changing approach to our own skincare routine.

Using our copper steam-distilled hydrosols made from herbs & flowers we have grown or collected in the NH wild is a gentle yet effective way to deliver nourishing plants into the skin while protecting your microbiome & hormones. This can also be used to calm wild nerves & cool the body of excess heat; a much safer option to aromatherapy than inhaling & absorbing an essential oil every day.

It was recently that time of year again… May in New Hampshire which means the lilacs were in full bloom. They came in with the magic of the new spring air like a flash, but were gone within just a few short weeks.

LILAC FLOWERS: this sweet gentle flower actually has astringent qualities that can be highly effective at toning & tightening the skin; native NH wild lilacs have been known to help everything from a sunburn, hot skin conditions, rashes, premature aging wrinkles, sagging skin on the neck & acne. Along with treating the facial skin, lilac flowers are great at toning the hair & scalp by rebalancing the scalp & creating healthier, stronger strands. In addition, the sweet floral aroma can help relax any stress & anxiety which is a great alternative to using an essential oil which has been known to disrupt the delicate nature of the endocrine system.

HOW TO USE:

generously mist your face & then immediately follow with our Ovum Balm, Ovum Serum, Dreamcream or Myco Boom Cream. Use throughout the day on your face for a quick shot of moisture when you aren’t able to incorporate a full-on skincare routine; this is a gentle refresh when you’re on the go.
